Competition Entry Privacy and Consent Notice (summary)

This notice applies to your entry into the FXDE Barber Battle competition. It explains what personal information we collect from you as part of your entry, why we collect it, and what your rights are.

We collect your full name, contact details, South African identity number (or passport number), barbershop affiliation, your age, and three photographs plus a skill video of up to 60 seconds that you submit with your application.

Your identity number is used only to confirm you are a real, unique individual and to prevent duplicate entries. Your photos and video are used to judge and shortlist your application.

If you are selected as a Finalist, the live event will be filmed and photographed, and footage of your participation may be used for FXDE's marketing and social media as a condition of competing as a Finalist. This is separate from an optional consent to use your original application photos/video for marketing, which you can decline without affecting your entry.

If you are under 18, we cannot process your information unless your parent or legal guardian provides consent, which is collected below.

You may withdraw your consent at any time before the close of the Entry Period by contacting us. You have the right to access, correct, or ask us to delete your information, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
